Week 1 Post 3

So far, this Coursera course has been an easy introduction
into Greek mythology. Though I had my doubts about it not being a good source
because I knew the main theme of feminine influence would barely be present, it
helps to prove my point even more. The learning has been slow and few things I’ve
learned have been helpful for my blog, but it is still a good course. It really
gets my point across because the first week has been learning from a man about
the stories told by men written by men about men. And the occasional woman.
I am definitely in need of a secondary source that can satisfy
my need for learning about the actual women. I have found a few books and
sources that should be helpful and pair well with my course. I think I would
like to learn the same story of a woman in mythology twice but told by a man
and a woman and compare the two. I think this will give interesting insight
into the subject of gender in these myths. Once getting into my secondary source(s),
I feel confident I will be able to be a lot more informative on the subject.
Did you look at those sources I sent you?
