    It seems as though the story of Procris is to show the foolishness of women to trust men. The issue with this mentality though, is the idea that instead of men not acting irrationally, women should just not be a 'fool' enough to fall for it. This is yet another case of a woman being blamed for being a victim of a man's actions. The beginning of this story says, "But men seldom love as women do", foreshadowing the entire story.
